Lenora Roe Tree
My mother, Lenora Tree, who died of ovarian cancer at the age of 58, knew how important it was for people to share meals together, and for people to openly express love for each other. She's the one who told me about this tradition of giving positive affirmations.
In order to honor her memory, I've created this Purple Plate in hopes that we will all get in the habit of being positive and giving positive affirmations to others.
After I was laid-off from my teaching job, I decided that I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others get in the habit of expressing what they love or appreciate about each other. That is why I created The Purple Plate.
Now, people all over the country -- schools, churches, families, and friends -- are sharing in this tradition.
Join us. Be the miracle. You'll see what a difference this simple activity can make in your life and in the life of others around you.
